Embedded Systems
This is where I keep my projects built around microcontrollers and microprocessors. Examples include the miniature Arduino Nano, the massive Arduino Mega, and the powerful Raspberry Pi 4; among many, many others.
What is an Embedded System?
Take your phone - the brain of your phone is on a chip. That chip professionals call a ‘microprocessor’. Take away some of the computing power and capabilities, you have a dumb microprocessor; also known as a microcontroller.
An ‘embedded system’ is simply an electrical circuit that uses a microprocessor or microcontroller to perform calculations in order to perform a certain pre-defined task or set of tasks.
